Department of History

History as a subject of study was incorporated in the curriculum of Dhamdhama Anchalik College since it's inception in 1989. But it got G. U. permission for general classes in 1993. The Department is working hard for the clear knowledge about the Syllabus provided courses by the Gauhati  University to the students and for their future upliftment. The Department has a Wall Magazine named as 'Fenguwa'. History Department is also teaching the courses of ENS.

1.To make the students aware of the past for better understanding of present and it's legacies through teaching, learning and evaluation.

2.To foster students for academic excellence and career sucess by the good quality education, effective communication and motivation.

1.To enlighten the students as well as the teachers, number of lectures and interaction with renowned scholars, discussions, seminars are aiming to increase.  

2.To increase the granary of knowledge, Department has a plan to undertake field trip to the historical importance area.
